Hi. Hello. Welcome to my blog! Although I have had blogs in the past, I am just getting this one up and running. 2021 saw many changes for my crochet business, including a name change (formerly A Crafty Cupcake) and an Etsy Shoppe. I am now also beginning to dabble in the world of pattern writing. I want to use this blog to share my love of crochet with the world. A little more about me…
I am a self-taught crocheter. My grandmother always tried to teach me her craft and it was only after she was unable to pass her tips and techniques down to me that I actually took up crochet.
I specialize in many forms of the craft. Over 12 years ago, I started out making hats and scarves, but I have turned my main focus to creating fiber art collectibles, amigurumi, loveys and stuffies. Each hand-made creation – whether based on pop-culture or my imagination – is crafted with attention to detail and is unique in its own way.
I am blessed to be a stay-at-home of three. We also have a senior Chihuahua that helps to keep me busy each and every day. We are proudly Canadian.
If I’m not crocheting or crafting in some manner, I can usually be found gaming. Jade is my online/gaming persona. Our family maintains a private Minecraft server and all of us are invested in various games. After all, the family that games together, stays together ♥
