Breezy Summer Top

One of the very first patterns I was fortunate enough to be chosen to test was this lovely pattern from Desamour Designs. Please note, this is a throwback post; the image is from when I used A Crafty Cupcake as my business name. The Breezy Summer Top is a casual style top pattern that is easy to follow and works up relatively quickly. There are instructions for 3 sizes: small, medium and large, but it should be easy to alter the pattern if you are wishing for a different size.

While I do not remember many of the details surrounding this pattern test, I do recall my daughter requesting that I make this into a crop top for her. I was testing the small version of the pattern, and I did not need to modify much – other than leaving off a row or two.  I am a relatively tight crocheter and this size came out perfect for what my daughter wanted.

This pattern also allowed me to use a new-to-me yarn: Caron Cotton Cakes — the yarn is so silky compared to other cotton yarns I have used in the past.  The Gerber Daisy shade caught my eye right away and I knew it would be perfect for my daughter’s desire.

Please go check out the pattern creator – Desamour Designs – she is such a talented lady!!
