I have always loved the Nightmare Before Christmas and I was thrilled to stumble across this amazing Oogie Boogie amigurumi pattern by Carolyne Brodie of Sweet Oddity Art.
The pattern is very well written and relatively easy to follow for even a beginner crocheter. Simple stitches are used – single crochet, increases and decreases. As with all patterns, I recommend reading over the pattern in its entirety before completing the project. I did stumble on the flopped part of the head and had to frog it once. I used a bright green worsted yarn from my stash (perhaps RedHeart brand – it was missing a label, so I am just grasping here) and a 3.25mm hook (as suggested by the pattern). I used 20mm safety eyes.
As much as I love this guy, he is being shipped off to a friend. Safe travels, Oogie Boogie!
